Eilidh Murray

Camden New Journal

Eilidh Murray is a volunteer who helps run Cycle Islington, an organisation that works to improve facilities for cyclists in Islington and encourage more people to become cyclists. At various events during the year, Cycle Islington promotes sustainability and public health.

Murray is campaigning for greater cycling infrastructure in Islington, arguing that there is public demand for cleaner air and greater opportunities for exercise.

Let’s have an eye towards the future. While this is a terrible and deadly virus, some good can come out of this situation. If people are in the habit of running and doing exercise outside now, let’s encourage them to keep doing this with roads which don’t prioritise cars.

Murray is passionate about making Islington a safer and more green place in an accessible and inclusive way.
